Krka Waterfalls

Vodopády Krka, ChorvatskoThese waterfalls are the most powerful Croatian officially called Skradin Waterfalls (Skradinski buk). We find them on karst river Krka, near the town Sibenik (turning to NP Krka is on the highway from Sibenik, 110 km from the town of Pag). Whole stream of the river is 72.5 km long and flows through the limestone canyon, whose walls are up to 200 m high. National Park covers nearly the entire Krka River and its nature is very rich thanks to the influence of the Adriatic sea. The most attractive parts of the park are easily accessible by cruise ships. Boats run regularly from the dock over the Skradin Falls (entrance Lozovac) to Visovac lake.

Water of Skradin Waterfall rushing over 17 travertine terraces to a depth of 37.5 m. You can visit the waterfalls during whole year, but it is most impressive in late spring, when the water level is high.

You can get to the park by one of three entrances:

  • Skradin - the ticket price includes boat trip upriver to the Skradin waterfall
  • Lozovac - ticket price includes a bus trip from the village Lozovac to the Skradin waterfall
  • Roški slap - ticket price includes a boat trip from the dock under a Roški waterfall to the canyon Medju gradama on the upper stream of the river Krka and back
